I start the morning with …

A walk around my neighborhood then a double espresso latte with freshly ground beans. It’s one of my few indulgences.

In my spare time …

I love to read. I’ve been in the same book club for 20 years and always have multiple books going at once.

When it comes to food …

Bring on the flavor! I’m an adventurous eater who loves French and Italian cuisine (doesn’t everyone?) but am always up for Thai, Indian, or Mexican food, or anything new.

Most notable backhanded compliment …

My ex-husband says one of my best qualities is I’m low maintenance. But I’m not sure that is meant as a compliment, right?

Favorite travel spots to date …

The South of France. The fascinating island of Malta, which is a true trip backward in time. Cambodia, hearing amazing stories of resilience. I am happy to strike out on my own, join up with fellow travelers, or discover a new place with family or friends.

Things I couldn’t live without …

Google, my old-fashioned paper planner which helps keep me on track, books, sunny weather, and my circle of family and friends (of course!)
